Swedish pOp singer September (AKA Petra Marklund) is about to hit Australian shores – possibly in more ways that one. Spurred on by the artist’s recent success on the UK singles chart, local dance label Central Station Records in currently making a concerted effort to get ‘Cry For You’ played on Australian radio. Originally released in Sweden in 2006 and in the US in 2007, the single was given a reworking by producer Dave Ramone earlier this year for it’s UK release where it peaked at No.5 on the singles chart. Central Station also has plans to release the self-titled hybrid album (pictured), possibly as early as September and has hinted that if successful, the singer may even visit Australian shores for a series of live club performances. The last time the September’s music was released in Australia was the ‘Satellites’ CD single in April 2006.
