In the early 1990s, German ex-perimental ambient outfit Enigma had massive success with the singles ‘Sadness’, ‘Mea Culpa’ and ‘Return To Innocence’. Their debut album went on to sell more than 16 million copies throughout the world. Success has been waning for the project in recent years, but they’re hoping to turn around their fortunes on their brand new album ‘Seven Lives, Many Faces’. They’ve certainly moved on stylistically since the early 1990s – this track wouldn’t sound out of place at an r&b party, atmospheric though the song may be. It’s the first taster of what to expect from their seventh studio album, due in Australian stores at the end of the month.
