It seems that our own Jessica Mauboy is not the only one who’s clambering to get a guest vocal from US rapper Flo Rida of late – Korean pOp superstar BoA has done the same thing in her attempt to crack the lucrative US market. BoA released her first album when she was just 13 years of age – and just eight years later, she’s released 11 albums and three mini-albums in her native Korea and Japan, notching up sales in excess of seven million. BoA’s debut English language single ‘Eat You Up’ has just debuted on iTunes throughout the world, with a physical single planned for release in the United States in November, followed by her first English language album in 2009. And the people behind her look like they’ve spent a pretty penny on the video, with BoA looking every bit the pOp star, kicking doors off their hinges and performing well choreographed dance routines surrounded by her bevy of dancers. A bit of a tip though – the amount of damage she causes to that beautiful old building within three minutes makes us want to think twice about inviting her ’round for dinner.
