In addition to the extraordinary line-up already announced by organisers of the 2009 Big Day Out, an additional 20 acts have today been added to next year’s bill. And there’s something for everybody – The Vines will rock out alongside The Getaway Plan and The Drones, while those more electronically inclined will celebrate the fact that Britain’s Hot Chip has been added to the line-up, as well as famed DJ Pee Wee Ferris and Melbourne dance act Infusion. System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian will also tour along with The Dropkick Murphys and The Black Kids. The 20 new acts add to an already impressive line-up of superstars which includes Neil Young, The Prodigy, The Living End, Cut Copy, The Ting Tings and Sneaky Sound System. Tickets for all events are already on sale, with both Sydney and Gold Coast events in the midst of a ticket ballot, Sydney with 1000 tickets per week and Gold Coast with 500 tickets per week up for grabs.
