It’s the second single from Anastacia’s latest album ‘Heavy Rotation’, her first with new label Island Records. Let’s get one thing straight before we go any further – we love Anastacia. We cannot comprehend how or why this glamazon with her finely-tuned powerhouse voice still hasn’t been able to find success in her homeland. BUT, we must admit to being totally underwhelmed by her new material. Take this single, for example. It’s okay, but it’s far from the massive hit she needs to get back on radios throughout the world. Gone are the trademark Anastacia sunglasses and with them, it appears, her sassiness, her sense of fun, her cheekiness – all that attitude now replaced by clean-cut images of Anastacia putting on make-up, trying on dresses. It’s so MOR, uninspired and it’s far from her best.

To be honest, I really enjoyed this album.
Would I have made this single choice? Never, ever, ever.
It should have been Heavy Rotation, You’ll Be Fine, Beautiful Messed Up World & I Call It Love!!!
That cover shot looks strangely similar to the I Can Feel You cover….

Next single should be the title track “Heavy Rotation”. Absolute standout among the relative mediochrity that is this album.
