SINGLES : Wow! Little Jessica Mauboy who occupied the No.1 position just last week finds herself four places down the chart this week at No.5, while US rock act The Fray moves up a startling five places to bump her out. The Ian Carey Project moves ever further up the chart to No.2, while there are further musical chairs throughout the top ten. The All American Rejects make a massive jump from No.34 to No.15 with new single ‘Gives You Hell’, while Kelly Clarkson moves into the No.16 position on downloads alone. Global Deejays come in at No.33 with their Rozalla cover ‘Everybody’s Free’, being used in Channel 10 promos and there are debuts further down the chart for Saving Abel (No.48) and Ladyhawke (No.49).
PHYSICAL SINGLES : With Wes Carr seemingly going nowhere from the top spot here, Lady Gaga moves up slightly to the No.2 position with ‘Poker Face’ while Britney Spears makes a seven place leap from No.10 to No.3. Metallica roars back into the chart at No.12 here with their new single ‘All Nightmare Long’ and country singer Sinead Burgess pOps in at No.25 with her new single ‘You Get Me’. There’s a debut at No.42 from The Fray while the Jonas Brothers and September sneak back into the chart all the way down the list at Nos. 47 and 48 respectively.
DIGITAL TRACKS : Digitally is where The Fray make their presence known, popping into the No.1 position this week, while the Ian Carey Project moves up a little higher (No.3 this week) and some band called Army Navy (who!?) debut at the No.11 position with a track called ‘Saints’. Kelly Clarkson’s in at No.16, Pink’s new single debuts at No.29, and Warner’s Eric Hutchinson debuts in the No.34 position with latest track ‘Rock & Roll’.
ALBUMS : And over on the albums chart, you’ll discover much the same order as last week within the top ten, but outside there ARE some slight movers and shakers, but only one debut for the week – and that’s for Antony & The Johnsons – their new album ‘The Crying Light’ coming in at No.33.
