A1 : Caught In The Middle
How we miss A1. The four member boyband who burst onto the music scene in 1999 with their Peter Cunnah (D:Ream) co-written debut ‘Be The First To Believe’ were the real deal – they could sing, they could dance (well… somewhat), they could play instruments and they all looked the part. They were also very genuinely warm, funny, down to earth guys. But in 2002, it all came to an end after member Paul Marazzi left the group, bringing about the band’s demise. It’s a shame – because songs like this, ‘Caught In The Middle’, showed they were indeed capable of releasing some kick-ass pOp songs. It was the band’s ‘Back For Good’, with it’s insanely catchy chorus, sweet harmonies and mature video clip. It was also the band’s biggest hit in Australia. Desperately handsome Ben Adams recently finished fifth in the UK’s ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and an budget A1 ‘best-of’ CD was released in the UK earlier this month.
