Teen star Miley Cyrus’ star continues to rise – after a mere seven days online at her record company’s official Youtube site, the clip for her new single ‘The Climb’ had already garnered in excess of half a million views. The feature single from the forthcoming ‘Miley Cyrus – The Movie’, the clip opens with the Hannah Montana star climbing towards a CGI-peak, her guitar case in-hand. The song itself is essentially about learning to enjoy life’s journey, keeping the faith and ultimately appreciating ‘the climb’ and should see the singer’s run of successes on the US pOp music charts continue. We reckon this could cross over in Australia too, but for the fact that most radio programmers wouldn’t touch a product branded ‘Miley Cyrus’. Perhaps when it comes to sending this track to radio, EMI Australia might just tag it ‘MC’ instead of ‘Miley Cyrus’ and see if they garner some positive response. ‘Cause the song’s most certainly strong enough. We assume the movie and it’s soundtrack should appear in Australia around school holiday time, but as yet, no release date for either is confirmed.
