* We neglected to con-gratulate the winners of the two copies of the startlingly good ‘FuturePOP 2.0’ comp-ilations that we gave away last week thanks to our mates at EMI. So congratulations are due to Aaron from Tasmania and Mark from Victoria, both of whom picked up a copy. You can get your hands on yours at your nearest good music retailer.
* Shock Records has scored a major coup in securing the release rights to the next Placebo album for Australia and New Zealand. The as-yet-unnamed album, due for release in June, will be the first since the band split with worldwide music giant EMI. Pias will release the album in Britain.
* And Lady Gaga has teamed up with Britain’s AOL website to offer you a totally and utterly FREE MP3 download – of the Pet Shop Boys remix of her single ‘Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)’. It’s not even available on iTunes! To get your mitts on the free download – hit the word GAGA!
* After our little ‘open letter’ to Universal Music earlier in the week regarding Girls Aloud and getting their music released in Australia, we thought we’d plop a pointless little poll over there in the right hand column. We’d love you to have your say! It’s further down, underneath the ‘chart links’ and the ‘pOp picture’.
