While some may applaud the return of one of the longest running compilation series in the history of Australian music, this forthcoming release of ‘Skitzmix31’ also heralds the return of Central Station Records. Caught up in the Destra administration debacle in November, the label has been reborn and the copyrights and sub-labels have been re-acquired. So now, Central Station will again begin providing us with top quality dance music. They’re to be distributed through Universal Music and will begin their re-entry into our musical psyches with the release of a single of the Chicane/Natasha Bedingfield mash-up ‘Bruised Water’ at the end of this month, followed by the release of the ‘Skitzmix31’ compilation, scheduled for a March 20 in-store appearance. It’s with great excitement that we at auspOp officially welcome back the Central Station Records family.
