H & CLAIRE : Half A Heart

After rumblings from within the inner sanctums of former UK pOp superpower Steps, followed by the group’s ultimate demise, it was revealed that both Claire Richards and Ian ‘H’ Watkins were planning their next chart conquering chapter as a twosome. Imaginatively, they decided to call themselves ‘H & Claire’. Alas, the duo lasted but three singles and one album release before they were cast aside by their record company WEA after disappointing chart results. But glancing back over their brief videography, we landed on the clip to second single ‘Half A Heart’ and in amongst their almost Legoland surrounds, the duo look comfortable and stylish, warbling over what’s a halfway decent pOp track, even finding time for a little choreography. But through it all, the fans knew there were just three things missing from H & Claire project – Faye, Lisa and Lee.
