Throughout the countdown to the 2009 festivities, auspOp is continuing it’s look at some of the acts you may well be seeing in the final at Moscow’s Indoor Olympic Arena. Some of these performers have already recorded video clips for their entries, whereas some will just tempt you with their live performances.
AZEBAIJAN : AySel & Arash – Always
Iranian-born singer Arash has been lucky enough to have his single ‘Always’ chosen as this year’s Eurovision entry from the eastern European Republic of Azebaijan. He’ll team up with 19 year old Azebaijani R&B singer Aysel Teymurzadeh to perform the number at this year’s contest on May 14. The track itself screams Eurovision, with plenty of middle-eastern influence and an almost Mr.President ‘Coco Jamboo’-esque beat. We reckon this track might actually work locally too – but who’d be game enough to take it to radio…?
