BELGIUM : Patrick Ouchène – Copycat
Belgian Elvis Presley impersonator Patrick Ouchéne has caused a bit of stir since being selected to represent his country in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest with his track ‘Copycat’. And it’s Elvis’s fans that are kicking up the stink as they believe that Patrick is actually making fun of the music legend. He also fronts Brussels-based rockabilly outfit Runnin’ Wild. The clip (below) sees the singer sharing the screen with an animated Elvis character, all atop an up-tempo ’50s-esque jive. Fun – but will they win the votes?
