Eurovision 2009, to be held in Moscow on May 14, is now less than two months away. Throughout the countdown to the 2009 festivities, auspOp is continuing it’s look at some of the acts you may well be seeing in the final at Moscow’s Indoor Olympic Arena. Some of these performers have already recorded video clips for their entries, whereas some will just tempt you with their live performances.
RUSSIA : Anastasiya Prykhodko – Mamo
Under the guiding hand of one Dima Bilan, the Eurovision gong went to Russia last year and as is tradition, the capital Moscow is hosting this year’s contest. This year, 21 year old reality talent show winner Anastasiya Prykhodko will go into battle for Russia with her single ‘Mamo’ after successfully beating all comers in the Russian national final earlier this month. She becomes the first ever Ukranian singer to represent the country in the competition and the track is a mid-tempo pOp track meaning ‘mother’, and is sung in both Russian and Ukranian.
