Flo Rida now pretty much owns the world charts with his brand new track ‘Right Round’. After debuting at No.1 on the ARIA singles charts locally two weekends ago, he’s also comfortably sitting atop the Billboard singles charts in the US and many in the industry are predicting he’ll beat the charity cover version of ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ by UK girl group The Saturdays to the top of the UK charts on Monday. The Dead Or Alive-sampling track really has taken the world by storm, sitting on top of the world singles chart even before the UK chart position comes through. But now with the launch of the video, the track’s dominance will only continue. Flo Rida (we’ve made the official decision that his name is actually about the state and not the past-time) arrives in the clip on a giant illuminated Oreo, whilst his guest vocalist Kesha has to be content with merely walking into shot. It seems to have been a rather inexpensive clip to make, with the two spending most of their time on the giant biscuit, cavorting in front of a giant LED screen, while a couple of well-placed shots of the latest iPhone later on guarantee Flo-Rida will have one in his hand for at least the next few years. And what was that pink liquid? It’s called Nuvo, it’s from France, it seems incredibly expensive and it’s something he’ll no doubt be drinking for the next few years (given it features in this clip and the clip for the next single ‘Shone’). Cool track, pretty ordinary clip.
