Swedish songstress Jenny Wilson last entertained us with a corker of an album (‘Love And Youth’) back in 2005. It was packed to the rafters with much electronic pOp finery, including the amazing ‘Let My Shoes Lead Me Forward’ and it’s equally dazzling video clip that (memo to ourselves) we really ought to place in the ‘Lookback’ section on a Sunday. Fast forward to 2009 and the lovely Miss Wilson has unveiled the video to her latest single ‘The Wooden Chair’, the first single to be lifted from her second album ‘Hardships’. And what starts off as a rather raw and stripped back percussive track quickly builds into something altogether dark and anthemic – it’s impossible to resist it’s almost tribal charms. Jenny’s new album ‘Hardships’ is set to be released in Australia through etcetc/Universal Music on April 17.
