* Despite decent sales of his debut album ‘Right Now’, 2007 X Factor winner Leon Jackson (pictured) has been dropped by record company Sony Music. The singles lifted from the album charted progressively lower, with the first hitting No.4 and the last not charting. It’s been stated that Leon will continue with his planned tour of the United Kingdom.
* Aussie outfit The Temper Trap is heading back to Australian shores for two very exclusive industry showcase performances in early April – one in Melbourne and one in Sydney. The band’s record company Liberation has been sending out teasers to radio station staff spruiking the gigs.

* Former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson has sold over a quarter of a million copies of her new album ‘All I Ever Wanted’ in the United States in one week to debut at the No.1 position on this week’s Billboard Albums Chart. In comparison, the singer hit the No.2 spot on the Australian album chart by selling 10,041 copies.
* After much emailing back and forth between the pair, Dannii Minogue and Freemasons’ member James Wiltshire finally caught up in person over lunch in Melbourne on Monday afternoon.
* And finally, Perth band Eskimo Joe are about to release the first single from their forthcoming album ‘Inshalla’. The three track CD single for the track ‘Foreign Land’ will be released on April 17.
