SCOOCH : More Than I Needed To Know
Just two years ago, four piece UK pOp act Scooch represented Britain at the Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki with their single ‘Flying The Flag’. But it was seven years ago that the band was at it’s peak, with their equal biggest hit ‘More Than I Needed To Know’. And where Pete Waterman was the genius behind the Steps phenomenon, it was his former cohorts Stock and Aitken that were behind Scooch. The things we love about this song are; the minor keys, the chorus, the video, the dance moves… what the heck – it’s just a bloody great pOp song with a bloody great pOp video that would’ve been infinitely more successful for Scooch had Steps not got the jump on them.
