SLOVAKIA : Kamil Mikulčík and Nela Pocisková – Leť Tmou
The 2009 Eurovision Song Contest will mark the first time that Slovakia has competed in the competition since 1998, and as such, the hopes of a nation are resting on the shoulders of Kamil Mikulčík and Nela Pocisková, who have been selected for this year’s ceremony with their song ‘Let’ Tmou’. The song, translated as ‘Fly Through Darkness’, is dark and dramatic, thanks to it’s base of piano and cello and is punctuated by the soaring vocals of the singers, Nela in particular.
