It’s now just a few weeks before the curtain goes up on all the glitz, the glamour and all the questionable fashions of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. SLOVENIA : Quartissimo ftg. Martine Majerle – Love Symphony
There’s a lot of interest in violins again at the moment, what with Dutch musician Andre Rieu conquering the world one country at a time, so it seems fitting that at least one country would drag out the instrument for their song – and Slovenia has done just that. Croatian singer Martina Majerle adds a few vocals to what is essentially an instrumental track, but given Eurovision rules stipulate that each song must have lyrics, she appears in the entry.
