* Not only is the cover art for Kelly Clarkson’s new single ‘I Do Not Hook Up’ spectacular, it seems that Australian radio has fallen in love with the track too. It was the No.1 most added track to radio last week, with both the Nova and 2Day networks jumping on board.
* Meanwhile, the video clip for Lady Gaga’s new single ‘LoveGame’ has hit a hurdle in Australia, with a number of television networks deeming the words ‘wanna take a ride on your disco stick’ inappropriate for young ears. It’s been given an ‘M’ classification, meaning that programs like Channel 10’s ‘Video Hits’ are unable to show it.
* Former Britain’s Got Talent winner Paul Potts is making his way to Australia for a promotional tour next weekend, in support of the release of his new album ‘Passions’. The CD is being released in Australia on April 17, six weeks before it’s UK release. Paul is scheduled to make a rare and exclusive Australian instore appearance at Melbourne’s Eastland Shopping Centre on Sunday April 19.
* And EMI has today announced that the entire Beatles original album back-catalogue has been remastered by the team at Apple Music and is set for release, along with extended booklets on September 09 (09/09/09). There’ll also be limited versions which come complete with a documentary film about the album itself, and two new Beatles boxsets are also planned.
