While we all anticipated that tickets for AC/DC’s forthcoming Aussie leg of their ‘Black Ice’ tour would sell quickly, the sheer magnitude of ticket sales has stunned many within the industry – and all of this amidst a global financial crisis. Tickets for the band’s concert tour went on sale a smidge over six hours ago and in that time, what started out as a five concert-tour at major venues has quickly grown to an eleven date tour, with new concerts on sale in Sydney and Brisbane, while Perth now has two sell-out shows. Only Adelaide’s first concert is yet to sell out. The concerts have now become the fastest selling in Australian history.
