Can you believe it!? It’s now less than a week before some of Europe’s finest hit the stages of Moscow’s Indoor Olympic Sports Arena for the semi finals of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. And as the days count slowly down, auspOp ramps up it’s coverage of the entries that will be vying for glory in this year’s competition, now with two posts each day, one each for the remaining countries we’ve yet to cover. The grand final from Moscow is to be screened on delayed telecast on Australia’s SBS on Sunday May 17.
PORTUGAL : Flor-De-Lis – Todas As Ruas Do Amor
It’ll be interesting to see how the members of Portuguese seven piece folk group Flor-De-Lis cope with having to downsize to five members to take the stage for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. With the rules stipulating that no more than five people are permitted on stage for each of the acts, it might limit them somewhat. The band’s also got a kinda ‘Wiggles’ thing going on with different coloured t-shirts on one and all. Performed in Portuguese, the song means ‘All The Streets Of Love’.
