We reckon that they’re taking a big risk in doing so, but Andrew McManus Presents has announced a 2009 tour by reformed ’90s boyband New Kids On The Block – and at some pretty sizeable venues. The five gents, who’ve been back together since 2007 have had virtually no chart success in Australia since reforming, only reaching No.91 with their comeback single ‘Summertime’. BUT, if you’re interested in going to see them live and re-living some classic ’90s memories, you’ll discover them performing live in most of the major centres kicking off in Perth on August 01. Tickets for all dates go on sale on Thursday May 28.
August 01 : Perth (Burswood Dome)
August 03 : Adelaide (Entertainment Centre)
August 04 : Melbourne (Rod Laver Arena)
August 06 : Newcastle (Entertainment Centre)
August 08 : Brisbane (Entertainment Centre)
August 10 : Sydney (Acer Arena)
August 15 : Wollongong (WIN Entertainment Centre)

They actually reformed in 2008… 1 year ago to be exact.
There’s loads of fans in Australia – even starting a petition to get them out here and we finally had our voices heard.
Pre-sale ticket sales already started this week… with majority of Gold Seating already selling out.
That’s positive to me.

I know, you would think of the lack of chart success with the new album in Australia would ensure the ticket prices would be reasonable , they are NOT! I’ve heard that good seats are $195 bucks! And the show is not a greatest hits show….
