Don’t ask us why, but just in the last few weeks, we’ve really been getting back into our iTunes back-catalogue and re-discovering a few hidden gems among it’s ever-expanding tracklist. And this is one that never fails to make us smile when it pOps up. Kimberley Locke got down to the final three on the second series of the evergreen American Idol in 2002 and performed this track in both the group performance phase of the competition and on her last performance show. A cover of the Freda Payne classic from 1970, it was remixed by those curators of camp, Almighty over in the UK and the result is pure pOp gold. It’s available on iTunes here in Australia, so we suggest you go track it down. If you’re a fan of pure, fluffy, campy pOp, you’re in for a treat.

No, no word on that at the moment, unfortunately.
We assume that because most of the licences for down under are with Warner Music and not PWL, it’s on this side of the planet where the sticking point is.

Speaking of iTunes back-catalogues, any news of a release of the PWL back-catalogue on iTunes in Australia?
