* The comeback of legendary songstress Whitney Houston has taken another step towards reality with the singer announcing on her OFFICIAL WEBSITE that her as yet untitled new album will be released worldwide on September 01. She also unveiled a glamorous new photograph (pictured) and gave us a little visual reminder as to why her new album will be one of the most anticipated in recent years with the premiere of this sensational sizzle reel;
* Universal Music has this week unveiled that ‘Paparazzi’, the fifth single to be lifted from Lady Gaga’s album ‘The Fame’ will be released on physical single here in Australia on July 17. It’s the same week in which the company will release the new physical single for the Black Eyed Peas.
* Former Baby Spice Emma Bunton has revealed that she would love to return to the studio to record another album. The singer’s last album ‘Life In Mono’ was a flop in the UK – mostly because it was nowhere near as brilliant as her previous effort ‘Free Me’.
* American Idol winner and runner-up Kris Allen and Adam Lambert respectively have both inked record deals. Competition winner Kris has signed his deal with 19/Jive, while Adam has penned his with 19/RCA. Both would be released in Australia via Sony Music.
* Paul Dempsey has announced a free show in Sydney. The singer, whose other Sydney date at the Annandale sold out, will play the freebie at Bondi’s Beach Road Hotel on Wednesday June 17.
* Speaking of sell-out shows, UK outfit Friendly Fires have sold out their forthcoming first ever show in Melbourne. Tickets are still available for the band’s only other Aussie shows in Perth and in Sydney, but are selling fast.
* And the gang from Grafton Primary are in the UK at the moment, preparing to release their album ‘Eon’ in Ol’ Blighty. They’re set to launch the album in London on June 15.
