Pop/R&B superstar Beyonce has cancelled two of her forthcoming Australian shows. In addition to the cancellation of the two concerts, one in Sydney and one in Brisbane, the singer is also moving the date of another show (also in Brisbane). The singer’s first Australian concert, due to take place in Brisbane on September 12, has now been delayed to September 20.
The second Brisbane concert, set down for September 13, has been cancelled.
The third Sydney concert (which went on sale less than two weeks ago) has also been cancelled.
The tour will now kick off in Melbourne on September 15.
Ticketholders for the Brisbane concert on September 12 (now September 20) are advised that their tickets are still valid for the new date. Patrons who are unable to attend the new show are advised to proceed to their place of purchase for a full refund before July 31.
According to touring agent Michael Coppel, the cancellations are due to an ‘unforseen change in Beyonce’s international schedule’.
