The gang at Girls Aloud Australia are certainly a persistent mob, desperate for radio to take their push to get Girls Aloud’s music played in Australia seriously. So they’ve decided that if radio won’t play them, they’ll prove Girls Aloud do indeed have a following in Australia by asking the band’s fans down under to buy their new-to-iTunes Australia single ‘Something Kinda Ooooh’. They’re asking for Girls Aloud’s Aussie fans to download the track from iTunes from August 02 to August 09 in an effort to chart the song. They’ll need to sell in excess of 600 copies of the track within the week to get the song anywhere near the top 100, in excess of 1500 copies to get it into the top 50 and over 3500 copies to get it into the top 20. We’ll give you a heads-up closer to the date, but in the meantime, follow them on their very own TWITTER SITE and check out another video from their group to remind you what Australia’s missing;

Something Kinda Oooh?
Now? Why? At this rate it’ll be 2012 before iTunes Australia releases “Call The Shots”. Come on, Australia!
