It seems that pop might very well be making a comeback to the Australian music scene (about time too) if some of this week’s new tracks to radio are anything to go by. EMI has today sent the brand new (reworked) single by Empire Of The Sun to Australian radio. ‘Without You’ is the fourth single to be lifted from the boys’ album ‘Walking On A Dream’.
Also heading to local radio this week are Air’s single ‘Sing, Sang, Sung’, Tame Impala’s cover of the Blue Boy classic ‘Remember Me’, along with (see below) ‘Remedy’, the new single from Little Boots’ album ‘Hands’, the brand new track from Aussie dance doyens TV Rock, ‘In The Air’ and the very pop, very exciting debut from Mini Viva (we’ll post more about that shortly). Viva la pOp, we say!

Personally prefer Little Boots to MiniViva – but love them both to bits! Remedy is brilliant, as is Left My Heart In Tokyo!

Hey John,
Details are sketchy at the moment, but a full remix package of Little Boots has been promoed to clubs (no word on whether these will be made available digitally in Australia), and the only Mini Viva ‘Left My Heart In Tokyo’ details on the new Universal Music release schedule is the digital release date for the video.
It’s due to go live to iTunes etc on September 11.

I’m hoping Little Boots will do great with Remedy, hopefuly Top 20! Also the same for Mini Viva – do you have a release date for these? :)
