* Universal Music has today taken the new Sugababes track to Australian radio. ‘Get Sexy’, which debuted in the No.2 position on the UK charts last week, is the first single to be lifted from the girls’ forthcoming album ‘Sweet 7’.
* Among the swag of other singles taken to Australian radio today are the new Damien Leith single ‘To Get To You’, Little Birdy’s new single ‘Stay Wild’, the new Leona Lewis track ‘Happy’ and ‘Falling Down’ – the new single from Disney songstress Selena Gomez.
* EMI has revealed that former Jebediah frontman Bob Evans will be the support act for Keith Urban’s forthcoming Australian tour. Bob’s new single ‘Hand Me Downs’ is now at digital retail and includes his cover version of Lily Allen’s ‘Not Fair’.
* It’s been a heck of a long time between drinks for rock outfit Creed (their last album was released in 2001), but EMI has bagged the rights for their new album ‘Full Circle’. The album is set for a November 06 release in Australia.
* Though fledgling singer Pixie Lott can’t get any love in Australia, in her native Britain it’s another story, as the singer notches up a second No.1 single with new track ‘Boys And Girls’. Other top ten debuts this week in Britain are Mika’s ‘We Are Golden’ at No.4, Mini Viva’s ‘Left My Heart In Tokyo’ at No.7 and Muse’s ‘Uprising’ at No.9.
* Just when you thought the national Stereosonic line-up couldn’t get any stronger, word through this morning is that French electro maestro Laurent Garnier has been added to the 2009 line-up. He’s take the stage at all five events across the country.
* And the world of pop tweets, Frankmusik is off on a shopping spree, Renee Cassar is ready to paint her bungalow bright green and Beverley Knight has crowned the winner of a Ladyboy competition in London.
