It was very much country starlet Taylor Swift’s night at the 2009 American Music Awards, held in Los Angeles earlier today Australian time. The singer picked up an amazing five awards at the event, beating out some big names who were also in the race.
Australia’s own Keith Urban also bagged an award – for the best male country artist.
Adam Lambert performed his new single ‘For Your Entertainment’ in what media commentators are describing as a somewhat provocative performance. Lady Gaga also appeared, performing ‘Speechless’ from her ‘The Fame Monster’ EP/album.
