The team at ARIA has announced the hosts for the 2009 ARIA Awards, to be held later this month. And with Channel 9 now the network telecasting this year’s awards, Rove’s production company Roving Enterprises, along with Hamish and Andy (all Channel 10 stars) are most definitely out.
In their place are Underbelly stars Gyton Grantley and Kate Ritchie (the latter best known for her role as ‘Sally’ on Channel 7’s ‘Home And Away’).
Further presenter details are expected to be released over the coming weeks, with the awards ceremony telecast on the Nine Network on Thursday November 26 at 8:30pm.

I’m sorry – did you say ARIA (as in Record Industry) or did you mean AFI (as in Film and TV)??? Gynton and Kate – whilst great in their fields – are nothing to the recording industry – this seems leftfield to me.
But hey, I’m not going so what do I care who presents! :)

That is the most stupid awards show hosting annoucement since Gretel.
Channel 9 and 7 keep fighting for the most stupid network title.

Another jewel in the crown for Channel 9…getting two actors with no muscial credibility (and yes Kate works at Nova – but she still has no musical credibility) to host the industry’s biggest night! What a HUUUUUGE mistake taking this away from Rove.
