‘Let Me Be Me’ must surely be the last single to be lifted from Jessica Mauboy’s album ‘Been Waiting’. The track is the sixth single to be lifted from the singer’s debut long player, after ‘Running Back’, ‘Burn’, ‘Been Waiting’, ‘Because’ and ‘Up/Down’. Jess gets to do a bit of acting in the clip too – playing the part of a partner who’s clearly been jilted by her lover. After he disappears from the scene, Jess is left to stare out the window, taking comfort from her new found freedom. She looks amazing. Though this clip is relatively simple in it’s make-up, there’s no denying young Jess has grown as an artist incredibly since her first video more than 12 months ago. Now one question remains… Just how many ARIAs will she win this Thursday night?

She reminds me so much of a stronger-voiced Paula DeAnda. And I mean that in the best way possible. :)
