MARGARET URLICH : Escaping
We remember being totally engrossed in our cassingle (read about them HERE, kids) of Margaret Urlich’s ‘Escaping’ way back in 1990 – the Auckland native had started her assault on the Aussie music charts with the track, the first of four singles to be lifted off her debut album ‘Safety In Numbers’. It also turned out to be Margaret’s biggest hit in Australia – peaking inside the top 20. The clip was basic, but effective, Margaret enjoying a quick cuppa before bursting into the studio in a boob-tube and a pair of impossibly (but altogether obligatory) high-waisted jeans for a succession of dance moves. Great track that brings back some fantastic memories.
