It’s tickets, it’s madness. It’s ticket madness now! We’re just trying to comprehend how the various ticket sellers across the nation are going to cope this week, with so many big name shows going on sale in the space of just five days. More than a dozen concert tours go on sale within the week, including the long awaited return to our shores by superstars George Michael and Whitney Houston.
MONDAY
It all kicks off on tomorrow, when tickets go on sale nationally for Welsh legend Tom Jones’ national tour (including A Day On The Green events), as well as Sydney and Melbourne dates for Echo and The Bunnymen.
TUESDAY
On Tuesday, country crooner Lyle Lovett’s national tour hits the sales desk running, along with massive stadium shows in Perth and Sydney for superstar George Michael.
WEDNESDAY
Tickets are on sale mid-week for the two Aussie shows for AlexisOnFire – one each in Sydney and Melbourne.
THURSDAY
Here’s where it starts to get all kinds of nuts, with national tours on sale for the Backstreet Boys and French outfit Phoenix. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs also put their Adelaide show on sale, Franz Ferdinand sells Melbourne and Sydney from Thursday and tickets also go on sale in Sydney, Melbourne and Newcastle for The Prodigy.
FRIDAY
And if all that wasn’t enough, Whitney Houston’s much anticipated return to Australian shores goes on sale on Friday morning, along with national tours for blues singer Newton Faulkner and three shows for British duo La Roux.
