SUGABABES : Overload
If someone completely unfamiliar with the life story of the Sugababes was to watch this video now, they’d be completely confused. Yes, it’s a band with three girls (check), but that’s pretty much where the similarities end. Wait a minute – there’s a red head one? A slightly Asian looking one. And Keisha – well now she too has become a distant memory. Sugababes Mk.I burst onto the music scene in 2000 with ‘Overload’ – a song that we originally thought directly sampled the Six Million Dollar Man’s running theme (see what we mean HERE). It was effortlessly cool – and smashed the notion that all girlbands had to produce fluffy, cheesy pop. And kudos to those who wrote and produced it – it still sounds fresh as a daisy almost ten years on.

Every Sugababe has been amazing and bought something wonderful to the group. I love Overload! I love Wear My Kiss! And I love everything in between.
Sugababes forever!

Ah! What a great flashback… compare that to their latest incarnation in their new video ‘Wear My Kiss’ – http://feedlimmy.wordpress.com/2010/01/10/sugababes-wear-my-kiss-video-notes/
I think it’s been a wonderful journey for fans to take with the group – through all their different line ups and styles.
