Finally, American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert’s album ‘For Your Entertainment’ is getting a local release. The singer’s debut album will hit Australian retail on March 05, but it’s to be preceded by his first Australian single ‘Whataya Want From Me’, essentially the third to be lifted from his debut in the US marketplace. And Sony Music Australia has revealed that we’ll be getting a physical single release of ‘Whataya Want From Me’ – on February 12, but no word yet on a tracklisting.
* UPDATE (JANUARY 21) – The physical single of ‘Whataya Want From Me’ has now disappeared from the local Sony schedule. It’s now a ‘digital bundle’ release, still on February 12.

If only the single artwork was the album artwork, his album cover is the worst artwork of 2009.
God bless Jb Hi Fi for stocking the hard to find titles!

JB Hi Fi is already selling “For Your Entertainment” – and it’s not imported, because it mentions being “Distributed in Australia” by Sony on the back in its usual disclaimer spot.
So what’s the go?

Hi there, For Your Entertainment (Album) is OUT NOW at JB Hi Fi. Not online on their website.
Went to my local one last week and they had it. I posted a blog on it actually.
Very glad his getting a single release though :)

Fantastic! I’m yet to hear a note from Adam Lambert, but I’m really wanting too!

Unless the one I saw was an import (I didn’t take a closer look) Adam’s album is already out in Australia; I saw a copy of it before New Years.

That’s great for Adam’s fans – and Adam of course! I wish they were as quick to release Australian artists overseas, if only on i-tunes. I have so many people who ask me about getting Anthony Callea’s music, but can’t unless they pay a small fortune.

This album is already available from my local JB Hi-Fi. They must have imported it.
