Stomp has just released the new album by Danish purveyor of bleeps and beats Kasper Bjørke. And if like us, you’re a fan of Trentemøller’s body of work so far, you’ll be similarly mesmerized by ‘Standing On Top Of Utopia’, an album rich and luscious in it’s orchestration. The next Aussie single to be lifted from the album is ‘Efficient Machine’, the video for which debuted earlier this month. And it’s altogether intriguing. Paused at two minutes in, we’ve been introduced you a freckled young man, who seems most interested in anatomy. He’s been left badly bruised on both his face and shoulder blades by something, but by the two minute mark, we’re not privvy to what.
Seemingly intent on revenge, he’s trying to build himself a robot suit out of cardboard boxes. Things are revealed at the end, but not as much as we’d like to know.
