It’s a strange ol’ post this one – ’cause you’ve never think auspOp would be covering anything to do with the V8 Supercars, but the team behind them has turned to all-conquering US singer Pink to help promote the 2010 V8 Supercar Series.
Pink has been chosen as the sports ambassador for the 2010-2012 seasons, and V8 Supercars Chairman Tony Cochrane has explained why they chose the singer for this campaign.
“She’s the greatest female artist on the planet in my books. She’s not afraid to be different. She’s bold, she’s outspoken and she’s unapologetic. She’s the most popular modern day artist in this country by a very long margin. She’s cool! For all of those reasons V8 Supercars and P!nk are the perfect DNA match.”
