LEAH HAYWOOD : We Think It’s Love
A decade ago, young Leah Haywood was being touted as Sony Music’s next big thing – an Aussie songstress capable of mixing it with the likes of Britney, who was in the middle of stamping her authority on the pop stratosphere. Coincidentally, the track was co-written by Leah and two blokes from Sweden by the name of Per Magnusson and Jorgen Elofsson – who’d been responsible for Britney’s hits ‘(You Drive Me) Crazy’ and ‘Sometimes’. But Leah was eight years Britney’s elder. Following on from her debut, she released the tracks ‘Crazy’ and ‘Takin’ Back What’s Mine’, before singing Channel 10’s summer theme ‘Summer Of Love’. These days, she’s over in the US – and two years ago released an EP under the alias “Dreamlab” (see HERE).
