Iconic local outfit Crowded House have parted company with their long-time local record company EMI (Capitol), inking a new deal with the giant Universal Music. The contract will see Universal release the band’s brand new album ‘Intriguer’ in the middle of the year, with frontman Neil Finn obviously delighted with the band’s new home.
“I look forward to a long and productive relationship with Universal Music, who are obviously the music company setting the benchmark now. We’re delighted to be in the company of music-loving people who believe in us and are eager to spread the word,” he said.
The band plays Sydney’s Enmore Theatre next Wednesday night before heading off to Europe for a series of live dates.
