It was September last year when Diana Anaid announced a new single (‘Cynical On Waking’) and a tour around Australia. She made stops in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria on the whirlwind six date trek, playing for audiences eager to hear some of her new material. But it was her cover version of the 4 Non Blondes classic ‘What’s Up’ that peaked the audiences’ interest. To that end, Diana has recorded ‘What’s Up’ and will release the track as the second single from her forthcoming album ‘Diana Anaid’.
Of the track, Diana says, “I can sure relate to Linda Perry’s defiant and rebellious attitude, and her dreadlocked, doc martin wearing, funky hat, goofy grin and hairy legs, none of which detracted from her amazing voice and the strength of the song.”
‘Diana Anaid’ is set for release on April 16.
