A little bit of exciting news has just crossed the auspOp desk – the long-awaited return of the Scissor Sisters. Universal Music has this morning announced the release of the band’s third album ‘Night Work’ and the first single from it ‘Fire With Fire’.
Says frontman Jake Shears of the new record, “Night Work is really us boiled down to who we are. It feels quintessentially us.”
A new track called ‘Invisible Light’ is already streaming over at the band’s OFFICIAL WEBSITE, along with what appears to be a very cheeky shot of Mr Sheers (it’s the album’s cover art – below).
(We’ve been told via a comment (in the comments section below) that it’s not in fact Mr.Sheers, but an old photograph by Robert Mapplethorpe).
‘Fire With Fire’ hits radio on May 07, while the album will drop at retail on June 25.

Unfortunately the cover art is not a picture of Jake Sheers, it’s a vintage photo taken by late photographer Robert Mapplethorpe.
