Every now and again, a track comes along that completely takes your breath away. For us, Katie Melua’s new single ‘The Flood’ is one of those tracks. It’s sweeping, majestic strings couple brilliantly with Katie’s extraordinary vocals to create an inspired piece of music, blending middle eastern influences with out and out pop. The clip too is rather amazing, and we especially love the piano. Heck, if Gaga can set hers on fire, why can’t Ms Melua have hers rocking back and forth!? It’s superb. And we’re now very very excited about her forthcoming album, due for release late next month.
