This ripped young chap (left) is Sydney-based Mutu – and we’d like to introduce you to his r&b/pop stylings. Though he originally hails from our nation’s capital, he’s been honing his craft in Sydney for the past couple of years, even being given the support act role for Flo Rida on his recent tour of the country.
And it’s not hard to hear (and see) why he’s been developing such a strong following. Take the track ‘Not Worth Your Love’ on his OFFICIAL MYSPACE, for example. It’s so slick that the gang from Universal Music licensed it for inclusion on the Blazin’ 2010 compilation, released at the end of January. It’s incredibly polished, radio-ready r&b with a good groove, great danceability and some excellent electronic tricks that the likes of Jason Derulo wouldn’t dare scoff at.
And that’s a good thing, given Mutu also scored the support slot for Jason’s recent Aussie club tour.
Keep an eye out for Mutu’s debut single ‘Familiar’, which is due to drop next month, ’cause if ‘Not Worth Your Love’ is anything to go by, we can expect big things from this young star in the future.
