Brisbane’s Mark Sholtez impressed many with his debut album ‘Real Street’ back in 2006. He’d been signed to the iconic Verve jazz label and the album’s release saw it debut at No.1 on the classical music charts, where it stayed for weeks.
Four years on and Mark’s now at a new home – Warner Music, who are on the verge of releasing Mark’s second album ‘The Distance Between Two Truths’.
It was recorded in Los Angeles and features collaborations with Aqualung’s Matt Hales, Snow Patrol’s Iain Archer and Australia’s own Alex Lloyd.
‘The Distance Between Two Truths’ sees Mark strip things down to basics, giving listeners a warm, tender album that oozes class and style.
And Mark will soon hit the road for a series of shows, kicking off in his hometown, before visiting Perth, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne.

Phil says
I’ve actually met Mark one or two times and he’s a very talented musician. His voice is just divine. It’ll be interesting to see him step away from the jazz to something more laidback. Can’t wait to hear it.
