In the middle of 2008, we introduced you to a fab new girlgroup by the name of Trinity. The threesome impressed us greatly with their single ‘Take Me Up’, which they’d had produced at Melbourne’s PLW studios.
Seven months on and the group had lost a member, but soldiered on as a duo. But now, Trinity MK.III is back to three members – and only Yianna remains from the original 2008 line-up (could they be Australia’s answer to the Sugababes!?).
Sammy and Steph are your new Trinity members and the good news is that the band has unveiled another series of new tracks on their OFFICIAL MYSPACE site, including a re-working of ‘Take Me Up’.
We don’t like the new version of ‘Take Me Up’ nearly as much as the original, but another track called ‘My Thing’ wouldn’t sound out of place on your local 2Day or Nova station ’cause it’s slick electro-pop. ‘Let Me Breathe’ is also bloody good.
There was rumour Sony was interested back in ’08, but the big question now is… When are these local lasses going to be snapped up by an eager record company?
