It’s now just over a fortnight before all eyes turn to Oslo for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. With plenty of wild costumes, crazy musical entries, glitz, glamour and flirtatious hosts, the spectacular will once again be split into two semi finals (on May 25 and May 27) and the grand final (on May 29). Who’ll make it through? We continue our look at some of the entries who’ll be vying for Europe’s most sought after music prize.
Serbia will compete in the first semi final on May 25.
SERBIA : Milan Stankovic – Ovo Je Balkan
Serbia’s entry to the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest is no stranger to the Serbian national spotlight – he was a contestant in his country’s version of Idol back in 2007. Now with bonafide ‘Milanomania’ spurring him on, he’ll be hoping for a great result when he takes to the stage for semi final No.1 on May 25. The 22 year old blonde will perform ‘Ovo je Balkan’, which translates to ‘This Is The Balkans’ – a track that begins with a chorus of trumpets before the mid-tempo beat kicks in to drive the song along.
