It’s now just over a fortnight before all eyes turn to Oslo for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. With plenty of wild costumes, crazy musical entries, glitz, glamour and flirtatious hosts, the spectacular will once again be split into two semi finals (on May 25 and May 27) and the grand final (on May 29). Who’ll make it through? We continue our look at some of the entries who’ll be vying for Europe’s most sought after music prize.
Slovakia will compete in the first semi-final on May 25.
SLOVAKIA : Kristina – Horehronie
She may still be only 22 years of age, but stunning Slovakian songstress Kristína Peláková is no stranger to the pop spotlight, releasing her debut single ‘Vráť mi tie hviezdy’ in 2008. Since then, she’s had a string of single releases, all of which have achieved some form of success in her homeland. The latest is her Eurovision entry ‘Horehronie’ – a nod to the Slovak tourist region of the same name. We love the frock change in towards the end of this live clip – but as with the butterflies of the Belarusian entry, will she be able to replicate the effect live on stage?
