WHITE TOWN : Your Woman
Here we are in complete one-hit-wonder territory. White Town (aka Indian born Jyoti Prakash Mishra) had a massive worldwide hit with ‘Your Woman’ back in 1997. It hit the top spot in the UK, No.2 here in Australia and even peaked inside the top 30 on the Billboard Charts in the US. The track sampled a cover version of of Bing Crosby’s ‘My Woman’ and its clip is shot entirely in black and white. It features a man who’s being torn between lust and love, between commitment and freedom, and we follow him on his journey. The song itself still holds up pretty strong today too.
